The Tale Begins

Bran is a small town where travelers often stop on the way from Wallachia to Cryptovania. Recently there have been strange rumors about a mysterious castle. As the story goes - a dark fog rolled in, and when it cleared it revealed a castle that had not been there before.

The townfolk have given all sorts of explanations of where the castle came from and why. The only thing they can agree on is that the flags bear the family crest of Vlad Țepeș III. This an especially strange thing to agree on because Vlad III disappeared over 50 years ago and was presumed dead.
